Catalyst 2008

Michael and I had the blessing of going to a leadership conference in Atlanta, Ga back in the beginning of October. So amazing to be with 12,000 fellow believers and coming together despite varied backgrounds and seeking to serve and honor God.

One of the highlights for me was being lead in worship by Daraja Childrens Choir from Africa. These are a group of Orphans that through 410 bridge have been given the opportunity to learn about God through song and then share that message of what a mighty God we serve through song. This was moving and one of the purest moments of worship I believe I have experienced. Check out more about them and 410 bridge at www.410bridge.com

Ah, Emily. Just imagine being in their country surrounded by 100's of them and experiencing that same worship. Truly life changing and something we often miss here in the US - we are too stifled by our "proper ways" and "proper conduct" in church to fully experience that joy and pure worship. I'll never forget seeing members of our team dancing and worshiping in African churches - all in pure bliss for their Savior and worshipping their King. Then, the sadness of going back and sitting through a standard 75 minute service where the joy seems to be missing....at least the African joy! The next thing you know, you'll be going to Kenya with a team from your church! Rock their world!!
